Minimum age: 18 years +

Length of placement:  6 months

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our committed and friendly team of volunteers.

We welcome applications from candidates with a keen interest in animal husbandry and conservation.  Candidates should also be able to demonstrate that they are team orientated, hardworking, proactive, and positive in their attitude to all tasks.

This is a one day a week voluntary position lasting 6 months working from 8am until 5pm.

  • Siamang Gibbons
  • Ring Tailed Lemurs
  • Black and White Ruffed Lemur
  • Cotton Topped Tamarins
  • Wallabies
  • Porcupine
  • Meerkats
  • Skunks
  • Prairie Dogs
  • Bactrian Camels
Day to day tasks
  • Assisting with all aspects of daily cleaning.
  • Preparation and presentation of feeds.
  • Preparation and presentation of enrichment.
  • Collecting and providing browse.
  • Assisting / observation of other routine husbandry tasks, i.e., weighing, health checks, training, enclosure refurbishments.
