World Tapir Day

We are celebrating World Tapir Day on Saturday 28th April.

Come along to the zoo to meet our Lowland Tapirs Toby and Tara. Join us as we host a number of fun activities to raise awareness about Lowland Tapirs.

Visitors can get involved with:

  • Face painting 12-3pm
  • Tapir Encounters 12 & 3pm (4 people per booking max) - £20.
  • Talks at the Tapir House at 12.30 & 14.00
  • ‘Leave your mark’ – add a white thumb print to our wooden tapir which will be part of our new Viva South America enclosure.

Fundraising for the event will go towards World Land Trust. For more information of what the charity does visit our conservation page.
