CATERING ASSISTANT

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual who has a genuine interest in providing fantastic customer-service.

As a Catering Assistant, you need to be friendly, bubbly and enjoy working with people, you will thrive in a busy setting where no two days are the same.

Some of your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

· Providing a warm welcome and friendly efficient service to all our visitors.

· Taking visitors orders, operating the tills. and taking payments,

· Serving hot and cold food and drinks to our visitors.

· Taking and making up ice-cream orders.

· Supporting the Senior Management to respond to customer demand and flows across the site.

· Barista trained; as will be making a multitude of hot drinks in the food barn, catering kiosks.

· Running food, doing pot-wash.

· Tidying and cleaning tables/floors in customer areas in the food barn and in the other catering out-lets and kiosks.

· Food Hygiene and Allergen compliance at all times.

· Happy to work within the zoo's gift shop and farm shop as required (both form part of the Catering & Retail team).

· Friendly, enthusiastic and reliable.

· Positive, with a can-do attitude with a desire to greet and engage with our visitors.

· Confident in working under pressure.

· Interested in good, healthy and delicious food and drink.

· Must be able to get to this rural location.

Working pattern & hours:

Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday – one week, then Monday – Thursday. 10am – 5pm.

Salary to be discussed at interview, will be subject to experience.
