Seasonal Kitchen Assistant

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our fun and passionate team at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, on a Seasonal contract until September 2024.

We are looking for an individual that thrives on being busy, great at multi-tasking and are eager to assist in the running of a fast-paced kitchen.

Previous experience is essential.

What you could be doing (but not limited to):

• Supporting the Head Chef and Kitchen Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the food barn, farm shop and catering outlets.
• Food preparation to include burgers, toasties, curries, sandwiches, soups, homemade cakes, and other homemade dishes.
• Hot food production and serving in our food barn and catering outlets.
• Full kitchen food safety compliance; when using cooking equipment, utensils, chopping boards, fryers, etc.
• Food Hygiene compliance and Allergen compliance.
• Keeping work stations and surfaces clean and tidy, washing up each kitchen department.
• Logging of all compliance with kitchen paperwork.
• Always following company policies and procedures.

About you:

• Must have a passion for food and be willing to learn.
• Minimum 1 years' experience of working within a kitchen environment.
• Great team player.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Work pattern: would include weekend working and Bank Holidays.

Salary: Age dependant
