About Us
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm™ is a national award-winning animal park and education centre based in Wraxall, North Somerset, 6 miles from the centre of Bristol.
Home to the big zoo animals, the spacious 100 acre park features species of international conservation importance and contributes to European breeding programmes and research efforts. This includes several notable species classified as ‘endangered’ or ‘vulnerable’ on the IUCN Red List.
The zoo is notable in particular for opening two specialist habitats for African elephants and Andean bears. ‘Elephant Eden’ became the UKs largest elephant habitat when it opened In 2014, celebrated as “a 5* facility for elephants” by international elephant management expert Alan Roocroft. ‘Andean Adventure’ became home to Spectacled bears in 2016, a large and specially landscaped environment with a focus on enrichment for the South American bears.
Committed to sustainable business and using green technology through innovative development, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm holds Gold in the internationally recognised Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Welcoming over 200,000 visitors each year, the park is an important location for educational school trips. Recognised with the Quality Badge from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm offers a comprehensive national curriculum based Education Program catering for Primary, Secondary and Higher Education.
