25 Years Of Noah's Ark
In 2024, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm celebrates its 25th anniversary with the launch of an exciting new vision. Home of the big zoo animals, we’ve grown from a family farm to a modern conservation charity, with a focus on conservation, education, people and wellbeing.
It's incredible to see how we have evolved from a working dairy farm to an internationally recognised and award-winning zoo. Visitors are invited to visit Noah’s Ark this summer to join in with our special anniversary celebrations and learn about our plans for the future.
We’re home to over 100 amazing species, including 10 which are part of globally important conservation efforts. You’ll find elephants – in the largest elephant habitat in the UK - lions, bears, giraffes, rhinos, and 6 rare farm breeds. Since 2012, we've welcomed over 3 million visitors and 200,000 school children, offering award-winning accessibility and learning opportunities.
As part of this special year, we’re reflecting on our unique past, celebrating our animals, projects, and play, and looking forward with excitement to the next phase of our journey by launching a new strategy. We cherish our rich heritage and strive to learn from our past to shape a brighter future – we’ve taken our family farming and Christian roots to shape our inclusive new values, which underpin all we do.
Our new strategy sets out the plan which will enable us to champion conservation, education, our visitors and staff through to 2028 and beyond. Our vision for Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is to protect wildlife and the natural world and to provide an oasis of inspiration and hope for people.
Look out for opportunities to engage with our celebrations over the coming months. We’ll be making some special upgrades to our zoo and facilities this summer to give you even more to enjoy on your visits, as well as holding some fun events and activities.
"The 25-year journey so far has been incredible, and we’re excited to develop our impact into the future. We’re now a modern, progressive conservation zoo with a special focus on people. We’re continually learning and developing to give even more exciting experiences for visitors, to inspire and support an appreciation of our natural world.”
