Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm currently holds Gold in the Green Tourism business scheme and has recently won the Silver award for its Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable efforts in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism awards. Our catering team research carefully before adding new lines of products to our cafe.
Bennetts Ice cream
Based in Worcester, Bennetts are a traditional family run dairy farm producing deliciously creamy ice cream. Bennetts ice cream has earned a reputation for excellence in both quality and taste, using natural flavours and ingredients.
Clifton Coffee
Our coffee served in the Food Barn is from Clifton Coffee Roasters. The single origin blend 'Suspension Espresso' is produced by the Daterra Estate in Brazil. Daterra was the first farm in the world to achieve the world’s highest Sustainability recognition, the “Level A” certification from Rainforest Alliance. It is also UTZ certified, providing farm workers with a fair wage for their produce.
Ella's Organic
With lots of little tummies to feed we have Ella's Organic pouches available from our catering outlets. Ella's Organic do lots of 'Good Stuff', from donating 250,000+ pouches a year to families in need to becoming a member of the advisory board for The UK Plastics Pact. The UK Plastics Pact is a trailblazing, collaborative initiative, delivered by WRAP, that will create a circular economy for plastics.
Organix
For the perfect little treat for your little ones we have a range of Organix stacks. Organix are passionate about sustainability and have three key goals:
- To keep raising standards
- To reduce use of natural resources
- To make their packaging 100% sustainable by 2023
Bon Bons
Everyone loves a sweet treat once in a while and we have a wide range of sweets from Bon Bons available in our catering outlets as well as our shop! These sweets are palm oil free and are wrapped in compostable packaging which has reduced the amount plastic packaging here at Noah's Ark.
Radnor Water
Radnor Water recently won a Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer Award at the Made in Wales Awards. Radnor Hills took home the Sustainable / Ethical Manufacturer Award, which was given to the company that has demonstrated the greatest commitment, through its products and processes, to forging a sustainable future for their company and region!
Having been dedicated to producing quality spring waters and soft drinks for the last 30 years, Radnor Hills have always been mindful of the environment and the rural landscape in which they work. They have also demonstrated their environmental commitment to reducing plastic waste and introduced a spring water bottle made from 51% recycled plastic called RPET.
Bottled Drinks
As a green zoo we are sometimes asked why we still offer bottled soft drinks and water. We think carefully about where we source our bottled drinks; some of our suppliers use 100% recycled plastic in their bottles. Once visitors have used their bottles we encourage them to refill their plastic bottles at one of our catering outlets or at any tap with drinking water around the site!
