A First-Class Visitor Experience at Noah’s Ark
23rd Apr 2015
Everyone knows that first impressions are important, despite being told we should never judge a book by its cover. When you arrive at a destination for a fun day out, you want to be greeted by friendly staff and a swift and hassle-free queuing procedure. No-one likes to wait in line for hours, eating into your precious time; especially when you have little ones in tow. Here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, we always keep the visitor experience in mind – both on arrival and throughout the day.
The fact that we have won ‘Access for All’ and ‘Sustainable Tourism’ from Bristol’s Tourism and Hospitality Awards in recent years shows our commitment to first-class visitor services.
However, now that the Easter break is over, we have decided to streamline our entry and queuing procedures even further to ensure a top-notch experience for every single person who comes into our zoo, particularly on our busiest days. We always strive to improve every aspect of our customers’ experience, and in the forthcoming months we plan to change the layout at our front of house, with new hand-held scanners for processing memberships and prepaid tickets, and we’re also looking to change our eTicket system to make the process even smoother with faster entry for prepaid customers.
On the topic of improvement, we have also recently revamped our play areas. In total, we have an impressive 12 play zones, both indoor and outdoor. And new for this year, all indoor play barns and our Ark Arena are now heated, meaning a great day out can be enjoyed even if the weather takes a turn for the worse. There are also changes to our café and catering kiosks, ensuring that the majority of our ingredients are sourced locally and that fair trade food is also promoted. Our Café team provide freshly made baguettes and sandwiches in fast service refrigerated counters on busy days so you can grab and go. There are plenty of healthy options available to keep parents happy.
We also have a fabulous gift shop, offering plenty of opportunities for children to spend their pocket money. We’ve noticed that a favourite Shop purchase is our animal feed – visitors can hand feed a variety of our animals as you walk around the park, including Deer, Camels, Llamas, Goats and Ducks! And let’s not forget the main reason Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm remains one of the biggest attractions in the South West: our Big Zoo Animals! Come and say hello to our tall Giraffe friends, Gerald, Genevieve, George and Geoffrey, then head over to see our White Rhinos, Rumba and Rumbull. We also have Elephants, Zebra, African Lions, Tigers and Water Buffalo, amongst many other mesmerising animals, both large and small.
So, if you’re looking for a fun-filled day at an attraction that considers all of our customers’ needs - pay a visit to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm this summer.
