After hours fun at the zoo

With all the wonderful feedback from our evening events in 2017 we decided to again open our doors after hours. In 2018 we hosted 3 evening events allowing guests to get up close with our animals in a more intimate setting.
Valentine's Date Night
The first evening event of the year was our Date Night event on 14th February. 70 people attended the evening event to get up close and meet our Giant Tortoises, Tapirs, Meetrkats and Giraffe. With a private after hours tour of the zoo and a date night meal in our Food Barn the evening was a great success. During the evening the team were fundraising for the World Land Trust a charity which works to protect some of the world’s most biodiverse and threatened habitats acre by acre. The team managed to raise £357 for the cause.
"Just tried the Valentine's date night experience for the first time and we loved it.. All the staff and keepers were very informative chatty and welcoming. They answered any questions we had and gave us lots of
facts about all the animals they know and love.... So from me and my partner I'd like to say a massive thank you to the owner and his wonderful staff for taking time out of there own evenings to give us a sneak peak into there wonderful jobs and show us the lovely animals that are in their care. I'd highly recommended this to anyone as it met our expectations and more it's good value for money and we had a brilliant evening my partner said it was our best Valentine's ever so thank you Noah's Ark Zoo Farm we have memories that we won't forget.
Somerset Safari
In June we again invited visitors to join us for a hands on evening with our Giraffes and Giant Tortoises as well as a private Elephant Keeper talk with pre dinner drinks. Again guests took part in a private after hours tour and a two course meal in our Food Barn. On the night staff findraised £460 for Giraffe Conservation Foundation a charity which works on the conservation and management of Giraffe in the wild throughout Africa.
"An excellent zoo experience feeding the Giraffes, getting up close with the Elephant. Thoroughly enjoyed feeding the tortoise, as well as giving them a lovely scratch, which they enjoyed. Had a lovely time with knowledgeable staff. Food and drinks included, plus free time to walk around after the event. Well informed staff. £50 each for the above is a bargain... No screaming kids running away from parents who aren't paying close attention as to where their kids are and should be... Highly recommended"
Carnivore and Curry Night
Our last evening event of the year took place at the end of July and vistors were invited to meet the more
ferocious of our animals. This time it was adults only as guests got up close with our Tigers, Lions, Bears and our smaller carnivores the Meerkats. After all the excitement visitors enjoyed a two course meal in the cafe. This year the team raised £290 for Tiger Awareness UK.
