What better way to spend Half Term than by enjoying animal VIP encounters?
From Monday 29th October to Saturday 3rd November 2012 you can get hands on for VIP Animal Encounters that include the chance to fly an owl, feed giraffes and cuddle tapirs.
During these animal VIP encounters you will find out what sets Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm apart. No other zoo will give you such enjoyable opportunities to get up close with wild animals, which is a vital part of learning about them.
This is also a valuable work experience opportunity as you can get a feel for the daily life of a zoo keeper. In groups of no more than three; you will perform tasks with a qualified zoo keeper at a convenient time slot during your daily visit.
These experiences are perfect for adults and children over the age of six, but places are limited so get booking now. There is only one slot per day per animal. Brave adults can try their hand at feeding the big cats too, with a chance to get a behind the scenes tour of how the African Lions and Bengal Tigers live (over 16’s only). What animals and experiences are available?
All animal encounters are for 15 minutes, choose from the following;
Fly the Owls
Fly an Owl at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm
- Meet one of the owls and learn how to fly one!
- Time slot: 11 am
- Age limit: Available for adults and children aged 6 and upwards.
- Places available: 3
- Cost: £20 per person
Meet the Meerkats
- Enter our new enclosure so you can feed and interact with the meerkats.
- Time slot: 12.45pm
- Age limit: Available for adults and children aged six and upwards.
- Places available: 3
- Cost: £20 per person
Feed the Giraffes
- Feed, get up close and hands on with the giraffe.
- Time slot: 2.30pm
- Age limit: Available for adults and children aged six and upwards.
- Places available: 3
- Cost: £20 per person
Lions and Tigers
- Enjoy an all access, behind the scenes tour. Now you can get closer than ever by feeding the Big Cats!
- Time slot: 2.30pm
- Age limit: Available for adults only, aged 16 upwards.
- Places available: 1 (can be two people together)
- Cost: £50 per person (two people together is £100).
Tapirs
- Feed and cuddle the tapirs.
- Time slot: 3.30pm
- Age limit: Available for adults and children aged 6 and upwards.
- Places available: 3
- Cost: £20 per person
Terms and Conditions
- All encounters will be on a first come, first served basis.
- Encounter vouchers must be purchased from the Ticket Office on the day.
- Special offer for October Half Term only (October 29 – November 3).
- All children must be accompanied by one adult (the adult will not be charged and is not included in the available persons for the slot).
- We will accommodate guests with disabilities as much as possible.
- All participants must be on time at the correct enclosure for their experience.
- All experiences are not pre-bookable and must be booked and paid for on the day at the Ticket Office on a first come, first served basis.
- Refunds cannot be given for this experience.
