Keeper Camera Roll: Primates & Small Mammals
13th Apr 2025
We caught up with Carolyne, one of our dedicated keepers in our Primates and Small Mammals team. We're very proud of the work our keepers do at the Zoo, and Carolyne gives us a great insight into the day to day life of a Zoo Keeper.
Hi Carolyne! Can you tell us a little about your role?
Carolyne: Hi, my name is Carolyne and I am one of the Primate and Small Mammals keepers here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm.
What sort of animals do you work with?
Carolyne: I work with the Siamang Gibbons, Porcupines, Skunks, Red Ruff Lemurs and our newest species the Asian short clawed Otters to name a few.
Can you tell us about your daily tasks?
Carolyne: My day consist of cleaning, feeding, enriching and training our wide variety of animals. My favourite part being the training of our Gibbons, who are trained to participate in voluntary health checks.
What's your favourite part of your role?
Carolyne: It’s such a pleasure working with such a wide variety of animals, learning about their individual personalities and behaviours.
Can you share some snaps from your camera roll?
