Introducing exciting new animal encounters at the Zoo!

Are you ready to embark on an extraordinary adventure behind the scenes of our Zoo? We are thrilled to announce two new and exclusive South American animal encounters that will bring you closer to some of the most fascinating creatures on our planet.

Get ready to meet the adorable capybaras and Brazilian tapirs or get up close and personal with our incredible giant anteater and armadillos. These fantastic sessions offer an opportunity to meet our unusual animals up-close, learn all about the species and even help feed them, making this the perfect experience for animal lovers. If you want to treat yourself or perhaps if you are after a special gift for a loved one, then look no further because we have the gift option for you!

Capybara and Tapir Encounter:

Duration: 20 minutes | Age Requirement: 6+ | Available on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30am

Interact with tapirs and capybaras, two gentle giants of the animal kingdom. Our Capybara and Tapir Encounter provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience where you can do just that.

Tapirs are known for their playful and curious nature, and during this encounter, you'll have the exciting opportunity to give them a tickle and witness their endearing reactions up close. Our cute capybaras, on the other hand, will provide you with the chance to learn more about their behaviour and habitats as you study them right in front of your eyes!

This encounter is for up to two participants (either two adults or one adult and one child aged 6+) and includes entry to the Zoo for the day for the participants.

Giant Anteater and Armadillo Encounter:

Duration: 20 minutes | Age Requirement: 10+ | Available on Fridays and Saturdays at 11:30am

Prepare to be amazed by the wonders of the animal world as you meet our charismatic giant anteater, and get to know the adorable armadillos in our Giant Anteater and Armadillo Encounter. This behind-the-scenes experience is a wondrous and interactive opportunity to meet these special creatures.

During the encounter, you'll meet Emiel, our resident anteater, and even assist in feeding him. Learn about their extraordinary long tongues and how they use them to slurp up thousands of ants and termites! Additionally, you can treat the armadillos to a gentle

scratch and witness their fascinating armour up close. This experience is available for animal enthusiasts aged 10 and above who are eager to delve into the world of these intriguing creatures.
