Step into Spring with Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm
20th Mar 2015
We love this time of year; the evenings start to draw out, the weather is improving, and we even manage to step outside in a cardigan as opposed to a thick winter coat. And, if rumours are to be believed, there’s an early spring heat wave on the horizon. With all this in mind, we thought we’d keep you up-to-date with some of the exciting things going on here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm this spring.
Now that the weather is on the up, why not make a day of it and stroll around our many acres of land? Little ones will love our indoor and outdoor adventure play areas. Our Wallaby Hill playground is a huge outdoor feature and includes zip lines, climbing wall, rope bridges, swings, tunnel slide and – of course – Noah’s Ark! There’s plenty of other ways for kids to burn off energy, too – how about exploring Termite Mountain? Your little ones can spend their time getting to grips with a combine harvester, feel the wind in their hair as they play on the large tyre swings, take a trip down a fireman’s pole and get tangled up in the whirling web! Of course, if you want to pop inside there’s also the Ark-iVentures play barn which is suitable for all ages; in here we have trampolines, climbing frames, an exhilarating Drop Slide and all manner of bridges, nets and swings to get hands-on with – plus an indoor tractor track for kids to practice their plastic tractor driving skills on. Also, as of 2015, if the weather does take a turn for the worse then our indoor play barns are now heated so that your kids can play come rain or shine. And let’s not forget our amazing animals! As well as our larger animals – including giraffes, lions and rhinos (and who can forget, of course, our growing herd of African elephants) we also have an adorable range of farmyard animals. Let your children get up-close to our lambs, goats, donkeys, horses and cows – and now that Easter is nearly upon us, don’t forget our adorable chicks, rabbits and baby goats (kids) as well – spring really is upon us here at Noah’s Ark!
We actively encourage animal feeding on site, so your little ones can get hands-on and experience what it’s like to feed farm animals for themselves. Come and bottle feed our orphaned lambs after the Animal Show at 3pm each day. We even sell animal and bird food in our gift shop, meaning you can feed a variety of our animals – from deer, camels and llamas to goats and ducks! Don’t forget to check out our daily shows and events for your spring day out. There are so many experiences to be had – from all-day tractor rides (ideal when the sun is shining) to the meerkat feed, meet the reptiles, elephant presentation, giraffe talk, birds of prey display and the big cat feed. So what are you waiting for?
A visit to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, breathing in the fresh country air and getting up-close to the animals, is sure to put a spring in your step. Just don’t forget your camera – there’ll be plenty of great photo opportunities!
