Triple Success at Awards
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm won three exciting tourism awards: Large Visitor Attraction Award, Access and Inclusive Award as well as Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award. The best of Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourist attractions were represented at the Tourism Awards on the evening of Thursday 21st November at the Marriott Hotel, Bristol.
A team of five representatives from the Noah’s Ark Team attended the awards evening where the zoo won three silver awards. This award ceremony was highly anticipated following the announcement of the finalists last month. This also followed on from the Zoo’s recent success of winning the Best for Little kids in South West in the 2019 from Days out with the Kids Family Favourites Awards!
For the first time Noah’s Ark has been recognised for efforts in Access and Inclusivity following the introduction in 2018 of the Ark for All initiative. The Ark for All project aims to be welcoming and inclusive of all visitors with the first stage of the project seeing the installation of a Changing Places Toilet, Accessible play equipment and Autism friendly signage.
Noah’s Ark is hugely devoted to passing on a passion for sustainability and teaching the next generation about the importance of protecting and conserving the natural world. The zoo holds regular conservation events and has a free nature trail around the zoo. These events encourage children and their families to engage in the world around them and learn to protect it.
The whole team are delighted by the triple award success, ending the zoo’s twentieth anniversary year on a high and motivating the team to continue to develop and improve into 2020!
